UPDATE: We have now received 26 beds AND 26 fleece pads to keep those dogs warm. Amigos has been removed from the Kuranda Bed site as we have all we need!!! We THANK YOU all so much for your generosity to our shelter dogs.

Our Challenge: Let's Provide Clean, Comfortable Beds to Mazatlán's Shelter Dogs!!
It happens to every animal lover. We see animals in need that could use our help.
Amigos de los Animales (ADLA) has been serving the unwanted, street animals of Mazatlán since 1996. The shelter is nearly always at full capacity, with two and sometimes three dogs housed in each of the larger cages. The dogs sleep on the hard concrete floor with only a thin blanket or towel to lie on. This can be especially uncomfortable during the winter months. Despite
the best efforts of our dedicated staff and volunteers, there may be
feces or urine on the floors of the cages in between cleanings.
Our rescued dogs deserve to sleep in comfortable beds.
Kuranda,
a US manufacturing company, has a "Donate a Bed" partner program that
enables you to donate a dog bed to Amigos de los Animales in Mazatlán, at a steeply discounted price plus a $5 shipping charge. These beds are sturdy and warrantied to be chew-proof for a period of one year. They are specially designed to stand up to the rigors of animal shelters and rescue organizations.

large, standard bed with heavy-duty, easy-to-clean vinyl fabric, which
normally sells for $79.95, can be purchased for donation to Amigos de
los Animales for a price of $56 plus $5 for shipping.
Our goal is to receive 25 donated beds. The beds will be shipped to me in Boulder, CO and I will transport them to the shelter in Mazatlán when I return in October.
I am asking for your help. Please dig deep so we can get these shelter animals off the hard floor and onto clean, comfortable beds. Please forward this request to everyone you know who loves animals.
